CARLOS DIAS
CARLOS DIAS (Brazil) b.1973
Dias is one of the key artists from the important Brazilian street art genre. His stunning naïve works represent the human condition using characters, animals and birds. Self-taught, Dias leave little room between the canvas and his soul, working instinctively to create pieces brimming with emotion, joy, wistfulness and melancholy.
Dias has enjoyed successful solo and group shows throughout Brazil, the UK and the US, and was honoured with an invitation to exhibit at the prestigious Museum Of Modern Art, Sao Paulo. He also featured in the seminal book ‘Graffiti Brasil’ by Tristan Manco, published by Thames and Hudson.
He currently lives and works in Brazil and continues to paint the streets.
