14 May Beautiful print editions from Uriel Marin
We’re pleased to present a selection of recent woodcut, aquatints and etchings from the talented Mexican print-maker Uriel Marin part of the Arte Cocodrilo collective. Uriel has produced a magnificent body of new work as a result of his second artists residency in Japan.
One stand-out print, which received an award in Japan was his Ballena (Whale) woodcut – at over a meter wide its an incredible feat of craftsmanship and a simply beautiful result. Uriel sent us some photographs of the woodcut in production.
Equally wonderful are his highly accomplished series of woodcuts using the theme of mandalas with coral and flora.
